Hello Readers,
The famous proverb “you are what you eat” as quoted by the French author Anthelme Brillat-Savarin is very true. Food nourishes you from the inside out. Good health is of utmost importance to me. Vegetarianism and Veganism are gaining immense popularity these days.
Natural, organic, healthy and homemade is my mantra. A graduate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition school in New York, I’m a Certified Health Coach. Originally hailing from India, growing up, my mom always made home-cooked meals and basic Ayurvedic remedies for little troubles with health. Processed food was rarely a part of my childhood. My roots are very Southern Indian but married to a Delhiite and living in LA, my culinary creations are not restricted to South Indian cuisine alone.
Cooking was not a passion for me rather a necessity during the early years of moving into LA as good vegetarian Indian food was hard to find. Over years of creating and ruining (yes I did quite a few) dishes, a newfound love (besides my hubby and darling Niki) I can now whip up healthy and appetizing food in a matter of few minutes. There is so much pride in serving food to my loved ones. I’m now a self-confessed Foodie- love and live food.
Over multiple requests from family and friends to share recipes, it is now that I have forayed into blogging. Here you will find all kinds of vegetarian creations (eggs including), some of which are old, some new, some are fusion, beauty tips, Ayurvedic remedies, my travels, and a little extra….
It should appeal to seasoned cooks as well as aspiring ones. Please spare a bit of your precious time and navigate my site and start your own journey of creating memories for you and your loved ones through food.
Sincerely,
Nayana
