This happens to each one of us from time to time when we are so tied up with our busy lives that our refrigerator in not fully stocked or in my case almost empty. It was one of those days when you realize there is no fresh produce available and it is almost dinner time. I didn’t have the faintest idea what to make. Sprouted whole moong dal and some avocados came to my rescue.
I seasoned the moong dal with spices and made a dry side to go with roti and blended avocado with yogurt. The outcome was very yummy, pale green color raita with a burst of red as I used tomatoes.

The famous proverb "you are what you eat” as quoted by the French author Anthelme Brillat-Savarin is very true. Food nourishes you from the inside out. Good health is of utmost importance to me. Vegetarianism and Veganism are gaining immense popularity these days. Natural, organic, healthy and homemade is my mantra.
